Unorthodox
Some pieces I’ve completed recently that are different than what I usually do.
Ode to our sixteenth president with human hair (dreads, to be specific).

Wire drawing plus acrylics.

The following is a photo manipulation for a digital class I had (which ended today, incidentally!), and instead of merging several photos together, I chose to combine this classic photo from the invasion of Normandy on D-Day in World War II:

…and this drawing I made of a giant squid:

This is the result (click the image for the entire photo):
I wasn’t really up to making anything serious or particularly realistic, so I went in a more absurd route that involved mythical monsters and military history. And now I’m off to work on some essays even though all I want to do is draw.

If I had this photo, I would keep it locked up inside a wooden chest stored in the attic, awaiting for my grandkids to find it alongside my old helmet and uniform, Luger, and pokemon trading cards.

The one done with human hair is wonderful!
What did you use to glue the hair down?
