Complex: June-July
Thursday, June 25th, 2009A few weeks ago I finally saw my work published in this month’s issue of Complex Magazine–I did spot illustrations for a fashion feature called “Trendhumper.” The “humps” are the trends in male fashion that are currently in, and the “dumps” are those that are perceived to be a heavily resounding NO. I have some close-ups of the humps and dumps (guess which are which!) and a scan of the full page as seen in the magazine, designed by the wonderful Anthony Clarke.
I’ve also done another set for the August-September issue, so that won’t be around for a while either.
In the mean time, check out the site of a very talented illustrator I know, Katie Turner. Her stuff is amazing and I am envious of her gouache painting skills! I own a few of her prints and I treasure them; perhaps more so than my tiny plywood tank.
